Is Fictivize free to use?
Yes. Fictivize is completely free for both readers and writers. There are no subscription fees, no paywalls, and no hidden costs. We believe great stories should be accessible to everyone.
How do I start writing on Fictivize?
You need a writer account to publish stories. You can create one during sign-up by selecting the writer role, or if you already have a reader account, click your profile menu and upgrade to a writer account. Once you have writer access, visit the Start Writing page to set up your first story and begin publishing episodes right away.
Do I retain the rights to my work?
Absolutely. You own everything you publish on Fictivize. We provide the platform, but your stories remain yours. See our Terms of Service for full details.
How does curation work?
Our editorial team reviews stories and creates curated lists to help readers discover high-quality content. If you would like your story to be considered for curation, just keep publishing great episodes — our team is always reading.

Can I read stories without creating an account?
Yes. You can browse and read all stories on Fictivize without an account. Creating an account lets you track your reading progress and follow your favorite authors.
How do I like stories or follow authors?
In order to like a story or follow an author, you need to create an account. Accounts are free to create. Once you are logged in, you can like a story, follow an author, and comment on their stories.
